How can I clean my Pukka shells necklace?
It is yellowing slightly and not as white as it used to be....any suggestions?
I would wash it with luke warm water and a bit of dish washing liquid in it. Brush it lightly with a soft old tooth brush. It could be just a normal ageing process. Organic gemstones, like coral, ivory, bone etc.react to UV light and all the every day treatment (spraying with perfume, hair spray etc.). They all tend to get darker over time.
